Even Realities Raises $150M: Not Making Second Pair of Eyes, Just First Screen

Meta wants to cram cameras into every corner of their glasses, but Even Realities cut the camera completely.
Yesterday this Chinese company secured a $150 million Series B funding round led by Tencent and Meituan, reaching a $1 billion valuation and joining the unicorn club.

The funding will go toward next-generation smart glasses platforms, AI features, and global expansion.
Even Realities' flagship Even G2 glasses use binocular monochrome green displays, paired with an Even R1 smart ring for health tracking. No cameras, no privacy concerns—just a pure display screen.
Meta wants to be your "second pair of eyes," while Even Realities only wants to be your "first screen."
The difference is critical. A display screen lets you see navigation, messages, and health data without pulling out your phone, but it doesn't record your every move.
Why would Tencent and Meituan both invest in a hardware company?
Tencent's calculation isn't hard to figure. When WeChat and QQ information can "float" directly from the glasses, these apps truly integrate into daily life—no more pulling out your phone, unlocking it, and opening apps every time.
Meituan's ambitions are even larger. Glasses tell you "There's a trendy hot pot spot 50 meters to the left, 12-minute wait, you can queue up in advance with Meituan"—this kind of instant push fundamentally changes local life services.
2026 might really be the year of smart glasses.
Google, Meta, Apple, Samsung are all throwing money at it, but Even Realities is taking a different path—no camera glasses, just display glasses.
This path is actually less crowded.
Without privacy anxiety, no need to worry about photo permissions, just need to figure out one thing: how to push the most needed information to your eyes at the right time, in the least intrusive way.
For the leader in this细分赛道, $150 million is enough to make waves globally.
When information no longer needs you to actively seek it, but comes to find you instead, the boundaries of human efficiency will be redefined.
But are you really ready to be "interrupted"?
