Apple Vision Pro: Is It Worth It? 30-Day In-Depth Review
Hands-on: Is Apple Vision Pro Really That Good? 30-Day Deep Experience Report
I recently got my hands on an Apple Vision Pro and used it intensively for 30 days! Today, I’ll share my honest thoughts—Is it really worth buying?
First Impressions: Don’t Call Me a VR Headset—I'm the Future of Spatial Computing!
Vision Pro is not just a "VR gaming device." It's Apple's game-changer in the field of "spatial computing"! When you put it on, you don’t just “travel” to a virtual world. Instead, like Iron Man, you bring all kinds of app windows and movie screens right in front of your eyes. You control everything with your gaze and gestures—it feels like having your own custom “air Mac.” Super cool!
Hardware: Stunning Display, Immersive Sound, But That Weight…
Let’s start with the pros: the 4K Micro-OLED display is insanely sharp! In a word: breathtaking! The spatial audio is also amazing—watching movies feels like sound is coming from all directions, making it super immersive. Eye-tracking is top-notch—point and click with almost zero lag.
Cons? It does get heavy after a while—after 30 minutes, your nose will definitely complain! And that external battery? Honestly, it’s a pain. Want to lie down and enjoy your private cinema? Apple says: Think again! Also, the screen edges are a bit blurry, so reading small text can be tough.
VisionOS: Control Everything with Your Eyes—So Cyberpunk!
The most revolutionary part of VisionOS is ditching the mouse and touchscreen for eye and hand controls.
- Your gaze is the “remote”—where you look, things light up!
- Pinch your thumb and index finger for “confirm”!
- Swipe your palm to “drag” and “scroll”!
It might feel weird at first, but once you get used to it, it’s incredibly smooth! You’ll feel like a futuristic warrior, navigating the digital world freely.
Use Cases: Work, Movies, Creativity… All Impressive, But Room for Improvement
- Work: Connect to your Mac and project your computer screen into Vision Pro. Multitask with multiple windows—productivity boost! But honestly, if you’re used to a physical keyboard, typing still feels better.
- Movies: This is Vision Pro’s killer feature! Put it on and turn your bedroom into an IMAX theater. The immersion is next-level, especially with spatial audio. You have to try it to believe it!
- Creativity: I tried Adobe Lightroom—editing photos feels more spacious and creative. The downside? Not many creative apps are optimized for Vision Pro yet. Hopefully, more will come in the future.
- Social/Meetings: The digital avatars in FaceTime… well… they look a bit creepy, like mannequins in a horror movie. Honestly, it’s a bit awkward.
Apple Quality—Of Course!
Vision Pro once again redefines my expectations of Apple:
- Top-notch hardware!
- Seamless ecosystem—works perfectly with iPhone and Mac!
- UI design—perfectionists will love the details!
- Turns the sci-fi concept of “spatial computing” into reality for everyone!
Cons: Overheating, Battery Life, Social Isolation—All Present!
Of course, Vision Pro has its flaws:
- Gets hot after long use, especially with games or movies.
- The external battery isn’t great—only lasts about 2 hours on a full charge.
- The app ecosystem is still growing—not many good third-party apps yet.
- You don’t have to look down at your phone anymore, but it still feels like there’s a barrier between you and the real world—can feel a bit lonely.
Even with All These Flaws, I Still Love It—Why?
Because Vision Pro represents the future! It’s like the old-school brick phones—expensive, but you’ll be the coolest person on the street! It points the way for future technology.
Summary: Want to Experience the Future? Get Your Wallet Ready!
Vision Pro is like those old brick phones—expensive, but you’ll stand out! It shows the direction of future tech. If you want to experience the charm of tomorrow’s technology today, Vision Pro is absolutely worth the splurge!
